Dessicated Coconut (DC)

Formed by separating meat of the coconut fruit, DC or coconut powder is made by removing the moisture following the methods of dehydration. These flakes are available in an array of standard cuts such as fine, medium & super fine grades, chips and threads and can be cut to suit specific requirements. For its natural and unique flavour, DC is used as an essential ingredient in a wide verity of food items in Asian and Western Cuisine as toppings for desserts, bakery items and even curries in liquid form.

Sri Lanka is famous for the exotic taste of high quality coconut coming from the finest estates in the country. As a method of keeping the quality, DC or coconut powder is packed in multi-ply craft paper bags with inner sealed polythene especially made to keep away from moistures in the atmosphere. By ensuring the high quality, we have packed our DC in 10 kg, 25 kg or 50 kg PP bags. To keep the quality and the natural taste of the desiccated coconut, these flakes should be stored in cool dry place, avoiding direct sunlight and strong aromas.

Virgin Coconut Oil

Virgin coconut oil widely differs from regular coconut oil through its method of extracting the oil from the fruit without using heat or sunlight, preserving the purest form of coconut oil. The distinct taste of virgin coconut oil is preferable over other kinds of oil for its high content of short chain fatty acids that the body can directly break down in the liver into energy rather than deposited as fat. Being used as a healthy alternative, virgin coconut oil is rich with polyphenols, vitamins, and minerals.

While serving as an excellent moisturizer which keeps skin soft and well nourished, it is applied on the head to reduce hair loss. It is accepted that virgin oil has the ability to reduce likelihood of heart disease, and one teaspoon a day can support the immune system as medicinal benefits. We supply a range of packaging separately for retail and for bulk. 200ml, 375ml, 500ml, 750ml and 1L in glass or HDPE bottles are available for retail and 192 kg drums or 920 kg totes are arranged in bulk packs.

Coconut Water

As a clear liquid found inside the coconut fruit, coconut water is also known as ‘Mother Nature’s Sports Drink’ known to be the ideal drink to freshen the body. It is superior to any artificial isotonic drink ever made for its super hydrating properties that gives a very effective electrolyte and more potassium salts than 4 bananas. With its unique and nutritious flavor, coconut water is a better option to quench thirst and help in weight loss. With the two distinct tastes which are Ceylon coconut water and Ceylon king coconut, its medicinal benefits include about lowering blood pressure and keeping cholesterol under check.

The unconventional uses of coconut water lists down as skin application due to its antibacterial properties in preventing acne and keeping the skin moisturized and soft. It also assists in curing hangovers due to its chemical composure and relieving indigestion. Spices

Sri Lanka is well known for its distinct verity of exclusive spices, for which it is called ‘queen of spices’ owing a rich history of island exports. Cinnamon listed on the top, Ceylon black pepper or ‘King of Spices’, Ceylon Cardamom, Ceylon Turmeric and Ceylon Cloves are highly demanded in local and foreign trading. While the characteristic aroma, cinnamon as one of the healthiest spices on globe assist to prevent the growth of cancer cells. Black pepper being the mostly used spice, its bioperine content is used in Ayurvedic treatments to cure digestive ailments and urinary difficulties.

Cardamom is used in culinary industry as a flavouring agent, while Ceylon turmeric which is a bright yellow spice traditionally used in food and medicine contains potent antioxidants that can fight diabetes, cancer, and heart disease.
